Hope everyone had fun and thanks to all that helped out.

Darian,
Thanks for a most enjoyable event. Eveything went well for me until I wasted 2-3 cycles on #3. Usual case of brain fade I think. Initial bearing from the start went straight thru it and and I ran within a few metres of it and didn’t see it. Eventually found it after running thru the swamp twice.

I enjoyed the event. Good weather for it too, considering the bleak day I had the following day.
I wasted soooo much time on #1, having assumed the flag I saw 15mins earlier hidden behind the rock was an orienteering control (with no doubt a clue something like “at the base of the east side of 3m boulder”). Turns out it was TX#1 afterall. Oh well, at least that particular error wouldn’t happen at an international ARDF event. #2 also tricked me to go right down the hill and then almost all the way back up again. My original bearing was spot on, just on a different point along it than I figured ! Must remember to draw in cross bearings properly; it’ll save time in the long run
